Josh Scipione
Financial Adviser
“It’s not just about your money; it’s about your life, and Josh gets that.”
Some clients arrive feeling overwhelmed, others stuck, and many just want to know they’re doing the right thing. Josh Scipione has a way of helping people get on track, and breathe again. With a reassuring presence and practical optimism, he breaks big decisions into clear steps, helping clients understand where they are, where they want to be, and how to get there.
Josh didn’t set out to become a financial adviser. He started in accounting, but when Deakin offered an extra major in financial planning, something lit up inside him. It wasn’t just the numbers. It was the chance to connect with real people, solve real problems, and see the difference good advice could make. After uni, he offered to work for free at a local financial planning office to get experience. They offered him a job instead. He never looked back.
“I get a real kick out of seeing a client walk away lighter, because we figured something out together.”
Since 2011, Josh has worked across both technical and client-facing roles, giving him a strong foundation in strategy and a deep appreciation for trust.
He joined the advice team in 2021 and now works closely with clients on everything from retirement planning and SMSFs to family wealth strategies and business succession. He especially enjoys working with pre-retirees and empty nesters who are ready to shift focus back onto themselves after years of juggling career, family, and debt.
Josh doesn’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. His advice is shaped by listening, scenario modelling, and open conversations about what matters most. Whether he’s helping a business owner step back with confidence or showing a couple they can retire sooner than they thought, his clients know they’re never just a number.
“Sometimes it’s not about the perfect plan. It’s about making progress without the stress.”
Clients trust Josh because he’s consistent, candid, and genuinely invested. He follows through, picks up the phone, and checks in about more than just the money. They see him as a consistant guide through big transitions, someone who explains things clearly, challenges assumptions thoughtfully, and stays focused on long-term outcomes.
Outside the office, Josh loves a good round of golf, time down the Peninsula, and catching a Carlton game with family and friends.
Josh’s qualifications include:
Bachelor of Commerce (Economics, Finance & Financial Planning)
Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning
Shaun Albert
Financial Adviser
“Shaun has this thoughtful way of really listening to what matters most to you and building everything around that.”
Shaun Albert’s journey into financial advice began with his own. As a young adult, he became fascinated by what it really took to build wealth from scratch. What started as personal curiosity quickly turned into a professional purpose. He completed his qualifications, rose through the ranks, and became a licensed adviser in 2016. Since joining our team in 2021, Shaun has built a reputation for deep listening, strategic thinking, and a calm, constructive approach that meets people where they are.
“It started with my own journey of building wealth as a youngster, that’s why I understand exactly where clients are coming from.”
Shaun works with a wide range of clients, from time-poor professionals with growing income and no clear plan, to retirees navigating big decisions with plenty at stake. He takes pride in helping clients strip away complexity, remove emotional burdens, and feel confident acting. While he’s clear that advice isn’t magic, he believes the right strategy, implemented early and reviewed regularly, can change a client’s life trajectory.
“We’re not magicians. We can’t fix things overnight, but we can build a strategy and let time do its thing.”
Clients often come to Shaun asking if they should pay off their home, invest, or contribute to super. He doesn’t jump to conclusions. Instead, he takes the time to understand what matters most, then helps shape a plan that balances their goals with smart financial structure. For those who feel unsure or overwhelmed, Shaun becomes a steady hand, taking responsibility for the complex parts and giving them back time, control, and headspace.
Shaun specialises in accumulation and pre-retirement planning. He helps clients use their surplus cash flow, create investment strategies aligned with life goals, and prepare for the financial shift into retirement. He’s also skilled at helping clients support their children, whether that’s estate planning, education savings, or helping them into their first home.
Outside work, Shaun’s life is full of movement, music, and meaningful chaos – thanks to his four daughters, including identical triplet girls. Between swimming, dancing, karate, and choir, there’s rarely a quiet moment, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Shaun’s qualifications include:
Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning
